USD Opera Presents Celius Dougherty's 'Many Moons,' a Fantasy Opera for Children

When: Saturday, November 23, 2019 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Description: Princess Lenore has fallen ill from eating too many raspberry tarts. She desires only one thing to make her well again: the moon. Can the King and his royal friends get the moon for the young princess? This lively fantasy opera is based on the children’s book by James Thurber and set to music by Celius Dougherty. In English and about 45 minutes, “Many Moons” is the perfect opera for the whole family. Tickets are available one hour before curtain; $5 at the door and free for children 12 and under.
